Phillip Lahm registered his 500th appearance at Bayern Munich during the club’s 1-1 draw against FC Schalke on Saturday. The German international has reached another outstanding landmark in his career and has still has much more to offer.

The 33-year-old was scouted by Bayern Munich in 1995 when he was just 11-years-old. After spending two seasons in the Bayern B team, Lahm was promoted to the senior team and made his debut as a 92nd minute substitute in the Champions League against RC Lens in November 2002.
