Erdal Rakip scores in the last minute against Östersund, after an intense game with 3 red cards.
With a few minutes left on the clock of the first half in this heated meeting at Malmö FF’s home arena, the Östersund forward Hosam Aiesh tugged on the shirt of the Malmö FF’s defender, Behrang Safari which made them both fall. Safari was infuriated and reacted by getting up close and personal with Aiesh. The judge, Magnus Lindgren, gave him a red card for this and a yellow for Aiesh.
Just 7 minutes into the second half, Markus Rosenberg gets shoved to the ground which gives him a free-kick. With a perfect touch, the ball flies gracefully through the air and straight past the Östersund goalie down into the left corner, which gives Malmö FF the 1-0 lead.
Östersund, being 1 man up, managed to get more and more possession which finally lead to the equalizer after 80 minutes of rough football. Ghoddos managed to sneak a pass through the Malmö-defenders and the ball was picked up by the unmarked Ken Sema who quickly placed the ball behind Johan Wiland for the 1-1.
In the 85th minute, Lindgren pulled out his red card once again – twice. the MFF-defender Franz Brorsson ran straight into Saman Ghodos, while being several feet away from the ball. The Östersund-substitute Jamie Hopcott saw this and charged Brorsson down, so they both recieved red cards.
In the 92nd minute the Östersund forward Brwa Nouri managed to get some free space and fired off the ball towards the Malmö FF goal, but he hit the goalpost. 3 minutes later, during the last few seconds of the game, the substitute Erdal Rakip got the ball and placed a weak shot that should’ve been an easy save for the Östersund goalkeeper, but the ball somehow rolls into the back of the net for the 2-1 win for Malmö FF.
